Pretty proud
So, I followed a bunch of Drupal tutorials, and the website is now actually up and running with no errors! Nice work by Robert Safuto - his walkthroughs are easy to follow so I'll be returning to his videos for help later.
I've been thinking a lot about the overall look and feel. Plenty of ideas have been processed in my head and in photoshop. Not suprising that, as website layout is what I spend my days doing. But this time it's different. There are no clients involved, no brand books to follow, no bosses to please, no timeframes to stick to. Hurray, finally a place where I can let my creativity flourish. Then I came to think, what's more important here? The content! - Of course. The purpose of Fuselagetown is to inspire the fellow designers out there. How is that best achieved? By creating a striking site that'll ace all the CSS vaults out there. Scaresly! No no, the best way to drive traffic is to continuously feature new and exciting pieces of work on the site. And - as most designers would agree, visuas are best showcased on a subtle, non-messy, desaturated background. Voila - colour scheme defined!
Fancy desktop wallpapers aren't for me. They interfere with my photoshopping.
