Orange Bus adds international recruit

NEWCASTLE-BASED Orange Bus, a website design and development company, is reaping the benefits after adding some award-winning international talent to its ranks.

Torunn Seim Skrogstad, a 27-year-old new media designer from Lillestrøm in Norway, brings with her six years' experience as a freelance web designer, a first class honours degree in multimedia and finished top of the class in a masters degree in graphic design.

Orange Bus says the combination of experience and achievements, along with her awareness of the industry, will help the company achieve its goals in taking the business further.

Mike Parker, co-director of Orange Bus, said: “One of the big attractions for us in bringing Torunn into the business is her Scandinavian approach to design which is at the forefront of the industry worldwide.

“She has excellent design skills and is already proving to be a valuable asset to the Orange Bus team. She is currently in talks with a potential client in Oslo, which will take the business to another new level working internationally.

“Orange Bus has been a male-dominated business until now and Torunn has brought a female perspective to the firm which we feel has already altered how we look at and approach things.”

Orange Bus specialises in innovative web-based development, branding and business solutions, and boasts an enviable UK-wide client base including Robson Green's Coastal Productions, O’Neill and Cravens Advertising.

Ms Skrogstad said: “My job is brilliant, I really enjoy working for the firm and already my expectations have been exceeded. Orange Bus gives me so much freedom to explore ideas and produce good work.

“The future looks bright for Orange Bus. All the projects we have are very interesting and the portfolio is growing by the week, so we’re excited about what is to come.”
